Project Description
Release date: 2021 - 2022
Role: Manager
When our department reorganized to enhance efficiency, I was brought in to apply a UX perspective to process design. Collaborating with colleagues from design, engineering, and operations, I documented and redesigned workflows—creating intuitive flowcharts and standardized templates that reduced confusion and accelerated adoption.
Built on a mechanical-first legacy, MAN Truck & Bus faced a paradigm shift with the TGX’s debut of digital clusters and infotainment in 2021.
Merging software into a hardware-centric development cycle meant forging new bridges between designers, developers, and mechanical engineers, plus creating training programs to upskill teams overnight.
We overhauled our process to include agile sprints and continuous testing, all under the scrutiny of stringent safety, regulatory, and cybersecurity requirements. This multifaceted transformation called for robust change management—introducing digital-innovation champions, updating governance frameworks, and embedding a collaborative culture across every department.
In a company structured around distinct departments, shifting from one process to another can stall without accurate requirements up front. During stakeholder interviews, I was surprised to find no general requirements list—an invisible gap that undermined early planning and communication. To fill this void, I introduced a standardized documentation framework and an easily accessible requirements repository, giving teams a single source of truth that streamlines change and mitigates downstream risks.
